Dear St Mary’s White Waltham Church Family,
Following advice received from the Church of England yesterday,
and in line with recent government guidance, we are putting our usual pattern of
Sunday services on hold. This is not a decision we take
lightly. It is an expression of Christian love that we do what we can to
support the national effort to slow the spread of COVID-19.
As our nation responds to the
developing coronavirus situation many of us will naturally feel anxious and
concerned. It is wonderful that we can hold onto the truths of Psalm 46:1, ‘God
is our refuge and strength, an ever-present help in trouble.’ Even in times of
trouble, God is with us by his Spirit to protect, strengthen and help.
If it would help you to have the church open from time to time please let me know. Other small meetings in the life of the church
may need to be postponed or accomplished in other ways. I trust we will all
take part in encouraging each other, spurring one another on to good deeds, and
looking to bless our communities in the name of Jesus.
in Christ Rev Dave
Rev Dave Atallah Vicar for St Mary's White Waltham with Woodlands Park Honorary Minister for St Mary's Maidenhead
We are a small, friendly, Church of England congregation which meets every Sunday morning in the village of White Waltham, south west of Maidenhead.
Whether you want to find out more about the Christian faith, or have been a Christian for many years, we offer you a warm welcome to the White Waltham Church family.
Our morning service is at 10.30am and we run children's groups each Sunday. Refreshments are served after church either in the church itself or in our new building which we call "The Tree House".
